      The first two tablets were broken, becasue of the wickedness of Moses's people, when he returned he came back with what we now know as the ten commandments. I honestly don't know what bible you read from if you think there were three tablets, in the beginning, before Moses went back up to get the ten commadments. The Ten Commandments were engraved on two tablets. The five commandments etched on the first tablet deal with man’s relationship with G‑d; the second tablet contains five commandments which concern man’s relationship with his fellow man.. Most scholars date this event around the 13th or 14th century BC. God gave the Decalogue, or 10 Commandments, to the Israelites shortly after they left Egypt. The record of the Ten Commandments can be found in the Bible, both in Exodus and Deuteronomy [Watch 10.

The first five commandments are a triple paradox about Jewish-Christian relations. The first paradox indicates a similar and important impact on the two communities.

The second paradox is that Jews tend to see the text as debatable and arguable, while Christians see the text as authoritative. The third paradox, however, involves looking at these issues from the broader background of Christian.
